A collision led to Malmö Fotbollförening getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Stellan Lang hit a great ball. Mats Smefeldt made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Gert Högberg sent off a good shot on target. After 8 minutes of play, Malmö Fotbollförening's George Berg made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stellan Kilberg was left in no man's land by his defense there! George Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Mats Smefeldt managed to avoid a goal in the 20thth minute, when Kurre Hamrins Akademi's Staffan Ryberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kurre Hamrins Akademi's Stellan Kilberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Birger Benet in the 23rd minute of play. Staffan Ryberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mats Smefeldt having to interfere. George Berg kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Stellan Kilberg came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Malmö Fotbollförening's George Berg. But to his dismay, George Berg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 36 minutes into the game, Gert Högberg lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Mats Smefeldt. Mats Smefeldt was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Staffan Ryberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Staffan Ryberg really showed his touch with that goal: 3-2. George Berg took the ball and in the 48 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stellan Kilberg. Stellan Kilberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. The score stood at 3-3 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Berg to strike the kick off in the second half. Gert Högberg took the ball and in the 57 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mats Smefeldt. Mats Smefeldt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-3. 61 minutes into the match, Malmö Fotbollförening's goal looked a bit too open when Gert Högberg came free, but Mats Smefeldt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gert Högberg kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Staffan Ryberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 70 minutes into the game, Kurre Hamrins Akademi's Gert Högberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mats Smefeldt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3. Mats Smefeldt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gert Högberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When George Berg came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Malmö Fotbollförening fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that George Berg couldn't finish the play. Mats Smefeldt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Staffan Ryberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Gert Högberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mats Smefeldt was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. With a little luck, Kurre Hamrins Akademi's Stellan Kilberg got control of the ball when George Berg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stellan Kilberg made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when George Berg sent off a good shot on target. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Kurre Hamrins Akademi had played much better football throughout.
