Frank Bergkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bengt-Rune Sandberg in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Frank Bergkvist saved IFK Mysingsö from getting behind. 23 minutes into the match, IFK Mysingsö's goal looked a bit too open when Karl-Oskar Ros came free, but Frank Bergkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Sandberg in the 24th minute of play forced IFK Mysingsö's goalkeeper Frank Bergkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 played minutes FC Piçkinder got a freekick which was hit by Magne Blomqvist. With a little luck, FC Piçkinder's Sigvard Enegren got control of the ball when Walter Nyberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Alex Almqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Almqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sigvard Enegren having to interfere. Alex Almqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Sigvard Enegren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Piçkinder's goalkeeper Sigvard Enegren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Alex Almqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. IFK Mysingsö's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Almqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sigvard Enegren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
