After 6 played minutes Gammalkils IF got a freekick which was hit by Valdemar Öberg. In the 9th minute, Gammalkils IF's Joakim Tholsson ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sigvard Enegren. Sigvard Enegren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Karl-Oskar Ros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Erland Stensson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gammalkils IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Piçkinder the free kick. In the 17th match minute, Gammalkils IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erland Stensson to maneuver through the defense. Per Stenkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl-Oskar Ros in the 19th minute of the match. George Kjellman hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Oskar Ros in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Per Stenkvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Per Stenkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Karl-Oskar Ros, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. When Eric Fogel fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Piçkinder's protests and gave Eric Fogel a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Gammalkils IF booed when FC Piçkinder was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eric Fogel didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th match minute, FC Piçkinder was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Oskar Hedlund to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Gammalkils IF's Ludvig Busk seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ludvig Busk the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gammalkils IF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ludvig Busk had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Per Stenkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Kent Gustavsson in the 52nd minute. Bengt-Rune Sandberg's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Per Stenkvist firmly grabbed it by the left post. Bengt-Rune Sandberg in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. The long shot by Per-Oskar Hedlund in the 76th minute really tested Per Stenkvist's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gammalkils IF's Per Stenkvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Gammalkils IF from getting a goal against them. 84 minutes into the match, Gammalkils IF's goalkeeper Per Stenkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Rune Sandberg. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karl-Oskar Ros in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Per Stenkvist saved Gammalkils IF from getting behind. 87 minutes into the match, Gammalkils IF's goalkeeper Per Stenkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bengt-Rune Sandberg. When FC Piçkinder's Alex Kristiansson in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gammalkils IF's goalie prevented a goal. Kaj Sundberg hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Gammalkils IF's Per Stenkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Magne Blomqvist in the 95th minute of play. Gammalkils IF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though FC Piçkinder had controlled the match.
