Spectators: 7568 (Terracing: 5716, Seating: 1752, VIP seats: 100) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joakim Holmgren kicked off to start the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Michael Poulsen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Västra Frölunda's supporters rose to their feet, but Michael Poulsen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Matthias Fastesson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Michael Poulsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Västra Frölunda's Otto Linqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Ekström in the 14th minute of play. Egídio Tavares kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Holmgren in the 16th minute of play forced ShobbaZ's goalkeeper Matthias Fastesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 16 minutes into the match, Joakim Holmgren notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of ShobbaZ's Matthias Fastesson. Matthias Fastesson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute Joakim Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matthias Fastesson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Bäckman in the 23rd minute of play forced ShobbaZ's goalkeeper Matthias Fastesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Michael Poulsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Matthias Fastesson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Matthias Fastesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joakim Holmgren in the 31st minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Vilgot Billström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 33rd minute of the match Michael Poulsen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matthias Fastesson skillfully saved the ball. In the 35th minute Aleksander Nordin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Otto Linqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, ShobbaZ's Patrik Wennerlund got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 37th minute of the match Michael Poulsen shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Matthias Fastesson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joakim Holmgren in the 40th minute of play forced ShobbaZ's goalkeeper Matthias Fastesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joakim Holmgren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matthias Fastesson having to interfere. Joakim Holmgren took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Matthias Fastesson. Matthias Fastesson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jimmie Strand in the 48th minute of play forced ShobbaZ's goalkeeper Matthias Fastesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Västra Frölunda were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kenny Ekström was the one to do the kick off. ShobbaZ's Matthias Fastesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Holmgren in the 54th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Västra Frölunda's Adam Hedlund got a free kick in the 56th minute. 58 minutes into the game, ShobbaZ's Aleksander Nordin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Otto Linqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. After 64 played minutes ShobbaZ got a freekick which was hit by Aleksander Nordin. After a defensive mix-up in ShobbaZ's zone, Michael Poulsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matthias Fastesson came out of the goal and Michael Poulsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the match, Västra Frölunda's goal looked a bit too open when Kenny Ekström came free, but Otto Linqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Otto Linqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kenny Ekström in the 68th minute of play. Egídio Tavares hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. After 77 minutes ShobbaZ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Michael Poulsen who took care of the corner kick. In the 84th minute, Västra Frölunda's Joakim Holmgren dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-5. Kenny Ekström's late challenge caught a Västra Frölunda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kenny Ekström helped the player get up and apologised. Kenny Ekström kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Joakim Holmgren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Matthias Fastesson made a huge save. Västra Frölunda's Michael Poulsen got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Västra Frölunda's Joakim Holmgren in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ShobbaZ's goalie prevented a goal. A collision led to ShobbaZ getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Kenny Ekström hit a great ball. When the match was over Västra Frölunda could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than ShobbaZ throughout the match.
