Jonathan Grubb didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gammalkils IF. Per Stenkvist made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Daniel Rudberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tving FK's goalkeeper Jonathan Grubb, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 37 minutes into the match, Tommy Billing had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Grubb. Tving FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tommy Billing was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulf Forsell to make the kick off. Ivar Alin scored 0-5 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Grubb, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Per Stenkvist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daniel Rudberg went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-7 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Rudberg in the 85th minute of play forced Gammalkils IF's goalkeeper Per Stenkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Tving FK's Mats Adelsköld got a free kick in the 87th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tving FK's zone, Ivar Alin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Grubb came out of the goal and Ivar Alin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gammalkils IF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
