Spectators: 6828 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1728, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jimmy Alstedt started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Södertälje IK's goal looked a bit too open when Johannes Eliasson came free, but Tage Kleen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tage Kleen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fredrik Hökqvist went, in the 4th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, BK Skoj's Karl-Michael Rolfsson got a free kick in the 7th minute. Olov Vennerberg made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Vilhelm Ahlrot sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johannes Eliasson in the 12th minute of play forced Södertälje IK's goalkeeper Tage Kleen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Harald Nyman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Vennerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Jimmy Alstedt came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Södertälje IK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jimmy Alstedt couldn't finish the play. 19 minutes into the match, Södertälje IK's Vilhelm Ahlrot sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Olov Vennerberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 21 minutes, Joseph Lindholm mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BK Skoj and the Södertälje IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 21st minute, Joseph Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Södertälje IK's Verner Boberg couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for BK Skoj. With a little luck, BK Skoj's Olov Vennerberg got control of the ball when Jimmy Alstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kalle Jonasson in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Olov Vennerberg saved BK Skoj from getting behind. Tage Kleen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johannes Eliasson in the 42nd minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Michael Rolfsson in the 52nd minute of play forced Södertälje IK's goalkeeper Tage Kleen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. BK Skoj's Olov Vennerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilhelm Ahlrot in the 59th minute of play. Johannes Eliasson charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Johannes Eliasson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 64 minutes into the match, BK Skoj's goal looked a bit too open when Jimmy Alstedt came free, but Olov Vennerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kalle Wennerqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Södertälje IK's Kalle Jonasson got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 77th minute Vilhelm Ahlrot shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Vennerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Olov Vennerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vilhelm Ahlrot in the 78th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Vilhelm Ahlrot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olov Vennerberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Olov Vennerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jimmy Alstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. BK Skoj's Olov Vennerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottfrid Blom in the 92nd minute of play. Despite being the better team, Södertälje IK failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
