In the 6th minute, William Ek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven-Arne Brun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algot Grep having to interfere. After 13 minutes, William Ek mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Syrianska FC and the Järnbrotts IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Syrianska FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Ek to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, Syrianska FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Arne Brun came free, but Algot Grep reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Syrianska FC booed when Järnbrotts IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samuel Fagrell didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jon Eklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hannes Qvalfeldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jon Eklund hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Jon Eklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Algot Ålberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jon Eklund fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algot Ålberg having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Jon Eklund's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Algot Ålberg was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Järnbrotts IF's Algot Ålberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hannes Qvalfeldt in the 66th minute of play. Jon Eklund might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Algot Ålberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jon Eklund ran back to his position shaking his head. Algot Ålberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jon Eklund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Syrianska FC's Algot Grep proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Syrianska FC from getting a goal against them. In the 74th minute, Sven-Erik Fanström got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 76 minutes, Hannes Qvalfeldt made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Järnbrotts IF's Algot Ålberg tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Arne Brun in the 80th minute of play forced Syrianska FC's goalkeeper Algot Grep to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute, Jon Eklund got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hannes Qvalfeldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Algot Ålberg having to interfere. With 89 minutes on the clock, Daniel Eliasson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 89th minute, one of Syrianska FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Syrianska FC. When the match had been going on for 92 minutes, Järnbrotts IF's Johan Broberg got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Algot Grep.
