Sven-Ove Bengtsson's late challenge caught a Forever Råsunda AIK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sven-Ove Bengtsson helped the player get up and apologised. After 8 played minutes Sverige FF got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Ove Bengtsson. The supporters of Sverige FF booed when Forever Råsunda AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jan-Olof Ingemarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Karl-Johan Granberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Svante Gustavsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ivan Fagerberg hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Karl-Johan Granberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Svante Gustavsson in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 39 minutes, Allan Möller managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sverige FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan Möller was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Svante Gustavsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Svante Gustavsson to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Hultman got free with Henrik Magnusson in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Sverige FF's Henrik Magnusson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Sverige FF from getting a goal against them. Mikael Hultman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Mikael Hultman, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 58 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Henrik Magnusson was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 63rd match minute, Forever Råsunda AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikael Hultman to maneuver through the defense. Allan Möller might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl-Johan Granberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Allan Möller ran back to his position shaking his head. 64 minutes into the game, Svante Gustavsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Karl-Johan Granberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Forever Råsunda AIK's Karl-Johan Granberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Svante Gustavsson in the 69th minute of play. 76 minutes into the match, Forever Råsunda AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Svante Gustavsson came free, but Karl-Johan Granberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th match minute, Forever Råsunda AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jan-Olof Ingemarsson to maneuver through the defense. Allan Möller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Johan Granberg having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Forever Råsunda AIK's Sebastian Månsson got a free kick in the 84th minute. The audience was convinced that Svante Gustavsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl-Johan Granberg was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Forever Råsunda AIK's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
