The Ljungsbro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pelle Hedkvist should have stopped the shot. When Edvard Klemensson fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Hackspett U21's protests and gave Edvard Klemensson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Hackspett U21 getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Edvard Klemensson hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ljungsbro's zone, Matías Giménez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pelle Hedkvist came out of the goal and Matías Giménez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pelle Hedkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Ove Håning in the 14th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, Edvard Klemensson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Pelle Hedkvist was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lars-Erik Hellström got free with Tony Henriksson in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Pelle Hedkvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan-Ove Håning in the 29th minute of the match. Pelle Hedkvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan-Ove Håning in the 29th minute of play. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Matías Giménez advanced and headed the ball into goal, 0-4 in the 35th minute. In the 38th minute Jan-Ove Håning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pelle Hedkvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Ove Håning in the 44th minute of play forced Ljungsbro's goalkeeper Pelle Hedkvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute, Jan-Ove Håning ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pelle Hedkvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Lars-Erik Hellström stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Pelle Hedkvist stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jan-Ove Håning's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Hackspett U21's Jan-Ove Håning slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pelle Hedkvist. That made the score 0-7 after 66 minutes of play. FC Hackspett U21 made a substitution. Teddy De Hond replaced Edvard Klemensson. Alvin Brenner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ljungsbro's Pelle Hedkvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matías Giménez in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lars-Erik Hellström in the 77th minute of play forced FC Hackspett U21's goalkeeper Tony Henriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jan-Ove Håning struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Pelle Hedkvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Hackspett U21. FC Hackspett U21's Ruben Pirro was substituted for Well-Well Wing.
