The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Pil got free with Gustav Vase in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 21 minutes, Kent Busk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. MZ Dream Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kent Busk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 25th minute, Tomas Pil fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gustav Vase, passed just outside the right post. Tomas Pil took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gustav Vase. Gustav Vase dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Bengt-Rune Hjeltman put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of David Godholm. Karl-Magnus Hökqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Godholm. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karl-Magnus Hökqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Budget FF's David Godholm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl-Magnus Hökqvist in the 38th minute of play. If Tomas Pil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, MZ Dream Team's Torbjörn Wennerberg got a free kick in the 46th minute. Morgan Mattsson, 47 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bengt-Rune Hjeltman made a kick off. Tomas Pil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, MZ Dream Team's Torbjörn Wennerberg got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 60th minute, Tomas Pil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Malcolm Blomquist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomas Pil blasted a shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gustav Vase having to make a save. Tomas Pil struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Gustav Vase didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Budget FF. Tomas Pil scored 3-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gustav Vase, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 75th minute, Tomas Pil made a precise shot to the right of Gustav Vase. MZ Dream Team's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. A collision led to MZ Dream Team getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Karl-Magnus Hökqvist hit a great ball. In the 81st minute of the match Morgan Mattsson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gustav Vase skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of MZ Dream Team booed when Budget FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morgan Mattsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Tom Svartengren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 87 minutes into the match, Budget FF's goalkeeper David Godholm had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kent Busk. When Tomas Pil fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Budget FF's protests and gave Tomas Pil a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Pil kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
