The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Danielsson in the 8th minute of play forced Åre IK's goalkeeper Verner Tomasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute Wiktor Boklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but George Lindqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Abbekås RK's Simon Danielsson got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abbekås RK's goalkeeper George Lindqvist, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Wiktor Boklund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. George Lindqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Abbekås RK getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Emil Mickelsson hit a great ball. Karl-Oskar Alebäck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without George Lindqvist having to interfere. After 26 minutes, Emil Mickelsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Abbekås RK and the Åre IK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 27th minute, Håkan Kiempe got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Karl-Oskar Alebäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl-Oskar Alebäck in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Lindqvist prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Danielsson in the 37th minute of play forced Åre IK's goalkeeper Verner Tomasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st minute, Karl-Oskar Alebäck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

A collision led to Abbekås RK getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Gert Asplund hit a great ball. 55 minutes into the game, Simon Danielsson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Verner Tomasson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Karl-Oskar Alebäck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 62nd minute, Wiktor Boklund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Lindqvist was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Danielsson in the 68th minute of play forced Åre IK's goalkeeper Verner Tomasson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Wiktor Boklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gert Asplund's late challenge caught a Åre IK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gert Asplund helped the player get up and apologised. Håkan Kiempe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Åre IK were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Abbekås RK to leave the ground with a draw.
