But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Miromir Szostak couldn't finish the play. 18 minutes into the match, Ljungsbro's goal looked a bit too open when Miromir Szostak came free, but Pelle Hedkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Göran Ekelund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joachim Holmgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Thor Danielsson in the 20th minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, FC Hackspett U21's goal looked a bit too open when Lars-Erik Hellström came free, but Joachim Holmgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Ljungsbro's Pelle Hedkvist got control of the ball when Shi Li Sha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pelle Hedkvist made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Shi Li Sha sent off a good shot on target. Pelle Hedkvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miromir Szostak, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Pelle Hedkvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miromir Szostak in the 42nd minute. In the 43rd minute, Ye Feng Feng hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 44th minute, FC Hackspett U21's Göran Ekelund seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Göran Ekelund the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of FC Hackspett U21 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Göran Ekelund had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC Hackspett U21 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 44th minute. Penalty! After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miromir Szostak to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the match, Ljungsbro's goal looked a bit too open when Miromir Szostak came free, but Pelle Hedkvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 73 played minutes Ljungsbro got a freekick which was hit by Niclas Viklund. A collision led to Ljungsbro getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Niclas Viklund hit a great ball. Edvard Klemensson made a great header on FC Hackspett U21's corner, it was just that Ljungsbro's Pelle Hedkvist managed to reach the ball for a save. FC Hackspett U21 made a substitution. Alvin Brenner replaced Shi Li Sha. In the 81st minute, Timmy Mikaelsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard and well directed shot from Edvard Klemensson led 82 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Ljungsbro's Pelle Hedkvist became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 4-1. In the 85thth minute of the game Miromir Szostak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ljungsbro's Pelle Hedkvist was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The FC Hackspett U21 fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when FC Hackspett U21's Miromir Szostak looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The supporters of FC Hackspett U21 booed when Ljungsbro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niclas Viklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ljungsbro's zone, Miromir Szostak stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pelle Hedkvist came out of the goal and Miromir Szostak tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The FC Hackspett U21 support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
