Egon Blomqvist made in the 8th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Nils Häll. Iuri Quirino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Alfred Tingelholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Heggert hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Robert Pires's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Einar Gustavsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. If Severino Eneko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 36 minutes into the match, Kjell Gustafsson dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfred Tingelholm, 1-0. An unexpected shot in the 39th minute by Severino Eneko got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Kjell Gustafsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 44 played minutes Blåränderna got a freekick which was hit by Boris Sjödin. In the 45th minute of the match, Iuri Quirino got a very nice opportunity to score, but Alfred Tingelholm was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 45 minutes into the game, Tommy Heggert was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Blåränderna's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Målilla the free kick. In the 45th match minute, Blåränderna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Heggert to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kjell Gustafsson to strike the kick off in the second half. When Bror Torstensson fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Blåränderna's protests and gave Bror Torstensson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 52nd minute, Bror Torstensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 60th minute of the match Elias Runberg sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfred Tingelholm skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of Målilla booed when Blåränderna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bror Torstensson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Målilla's Severino Eneko got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 68th minute Målilla were awarded a corner. Rickard Lundin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to Målilla's Egon Blomqvist getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Kjell Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Alfred Tingelholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iuri Quirino in the 74th minute of play forced Blåränderna's goalkeeper Alfred Tingelholm to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kjell Gustafsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Alfred Tingelholm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tor Edberg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Einar Gustavsson having to make a save. In the 95th match minute, Blåränderna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tommy Heggert to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Målilla players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
