The audience thought a goal was coming when Diego Moreno got free with Einar Gustavsson in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bertil Borre's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edvin Vassenius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Moreno in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Einar Gustavsson saved Målilla from getting behind. Vålådalen's Edvin Vassenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Gustafsson in the 30th minute of play. Edvin Vassenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iuri Quirino in the 59th minute of the match. Gonzales Hoz's late challenge caught a Vålådalen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gonzales Hoz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, one of Målilla:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Målilla. The Vålådalen players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
