The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Höjden BK's Sven-Ove Ivarsson got a free kick in the 2nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mikael Meck in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivar Mårtensson saved Höjden BK from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Höjden BK's Alvar Öman got a free kick in the 7th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Mikael Meck notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Höjden BK's Ivar Mårtensson. Ivar Mårtensson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ivar Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Meck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 22nd minute Mikael Meck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivar Mårtensson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes had been played when some careless play by Höjden BK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Hans Svensson was slow to take the kick. During this time Melchester Rovers's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Hans Svensson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ivar Mårtensson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Melchester Rovers's Ronny Westerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Ove Ivarsson in the 31st minute of play. Mikael Meck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Höjden BK's Ivar Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Meck in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Melchester Rovers got a corner. Höjden BK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Hans Svensson ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on Melchester Rovers's corner Mikael Meck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Ivar Mårtensson quite easily take care of the ball. After a rather tough play, Melchester Rovers's Stig Vikström got a free kick in the 38th minute. Ivar Mårtensson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Meck in the 40th minute of the match. Ivar Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mårten Abrahamsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Mikael Meck managed to get in a good position for a shot. Melchester Rovers's supporters rose to their feet, but Mikael Meck was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ivar Mårtensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

In the 51st minute, Melchester Rovers's Mikael Meck ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ivar Mårtensson. Ivar Mårtensson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Höjden BK's Ivar Mårtensson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikael Meck in the 54th minute of play. Mikael Meck didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 58th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Mikael Meck ran dejectedly back to his position. Melchester Rovers's Mikael Meck got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ronny Westerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kurt Siggman in the 61st minute of play. If Mikael Meck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Mårten Abrahamsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivar Mårtensson having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Höjden BK's zone, Mårten Abrahamsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivar Mårtensson came out of the goal and Mårten Abrahamsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match clock showed 72 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Mårten Abrahamsson sped through Höjden BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ivar Mårtensson. In the 76th minute Kurt Siggman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Westerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Mikael Meck got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Melchester Rovers's Hans Svensson was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ivar Mårtensson in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. In the 83rd match minute, Höjden BK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomas Sundberg to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Hans Svensson in the 83rd minute really tested Ivar Mårtensson's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mikael Meck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ivar Mårtensson having to make a save. Mikael Meck received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ivar Mårtensson came out and tried to block the shot, but Mikael Meck slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 88th minute. Ivar Mårtensson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikael Meck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 93rd minute, Mikael Meck reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ivar Mårtensson. The goal made the score 0-7. The Höjden BK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Melchester Rovers were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
