In the 3rd minute, Staffan Ivarsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gilson Vasconcelos in the 5th minute of play forced DIÖ IK's goalkeeper Yngve Göransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nils-Åke Käller took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 7th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Kazimierz Gall. Norråker's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 8 minutes into the game, Alvar Fransson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DIÖ IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Norråker the free kick. In the 9th match minute, DIÖ IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvar Fransson to maneuver through the defense. In the 14thth minute of the game Gilson Vasconcelos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DIÖ IK's Yngve Göransson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 15th minute Tage Vassenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kazimierz Gall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kazimierz Gall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Stolpe in the 19th minute of play. Thor Ödman kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Staffan Ivarsson in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kazimierz Gall saved Norråker from getting behind. In the 24th minute DIÖ IK were awarded a corner. Elof Pååk went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led DIÖ IK's Mats Wallin to fire away a dangerous shot which Kazimierz Gall despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Yngve Göransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens-Erik Granberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Staffan Ivarsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Kazimierz Gall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kazimierz Gall made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olov Stolpe in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to Norråker getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Nils-Erik Ahlgren hit a great ball. If Tage Vassenius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 41 minutes into the match, DIÖ IK's goal looked a bit too open when Gilson Vasconcelos came free, but Yngve Göransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Georg Sjöman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 44th minute of the match, Gilson Vasconcelos tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Yngve Göransson saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilson Vasconcelos made a kick off. Kazimierz Gall made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Staffan Ivarsson sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Norråker getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Nils-Erik Ahlgren hit a great ball. The DIÖ IK fans' excitement grew in the 54th match minute when DIÖ IK's Staffan Ivarsson looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 57th minute, Gilson Vasconcelos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven-Olof Modig kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. With a little luck, Norråker's Kazimierz Gall got control of the ball when Staffan Ivarsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Norråker's goalkeeper Kazimierz Gall had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Staffan Ivarsson. Georg Sjöman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kazimierz Gall having to interfere. Norråker's Kazimierz Gall proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Norråker from getting a goal against them. Kazimierz Gall made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Tage Vassenius sent off a good shot on target. Olov Stolpe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kazimierz Gall having to interfere. Norråker made a substitution. Per-Arne Kuse replaced Gilson Vasconcelos. With splendid footwork Staffan Ivarsson arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-3 by the left pole in the game's 85th minute. DIÖ IK's Alvar Fransson got his second yellow card of the match in the 89th minute. The referee ordered Alvar Fransson off the ground. In the 90th match minute, DIÖ IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alvar Fransson to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st minute of the match Edvin Lind shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Yngve Göransson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tage Vassenius in the 95th minute of play forced Norråker's goalkeeper Kazimierz Gall to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Staffan Ivarsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kazimierz Gall was relentless in the 97th minute of the game. When the match was over DIÖ IK could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Norråker throughout the match.
