After taking down the ball on BK Södra's corner Rickard Örnberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Frans Koch quite easily take care of the ball. BK Södra's Maximino Totakoxe proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save BK Södra from getting a goal against them. In the 18th minute Stiliyan Bisharov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maximino Totakoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Wenerdahl in the 20th minute of play forced Royal Excel Mouscron's goalkeeper Frans Koch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stiliyan Bisharov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Maximino Totakoxe made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Royal Excel Mouscron's Dennis Hermansson got a free kick in the 30th minute. After 36 minutes Royal Excel Mouscron's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Rickard Örnberg who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Rickard Örnberg got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Frans Koch quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Christos Tzolis might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frans Koch. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Christos Tzolis ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Örnberg in the 43rd minute of play forced Royal Excel Mouscron's goalkeeper Frans Koch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ludvig Hultman during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ludvig Hultman kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Rickard Örnberg took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 46th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Frans Koch. Royal Excel Mouscron's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kevin Murray made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Da Silva in the 56th minute of play forced Royal Excel Mouscron's goalkeeper Frans Koch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frans Koch showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rickard Örnberg in the 58th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Ludvig Hultman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maximino Totakoxe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stiliyan Bisharov, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 73rd minute, Rickard Örnberg made a precise shot to the right of Frans Koch. Royal Excel Mouscron's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. BK Södra made a substitution. Frank Josefsson replaced Björn Holmgren. If Florian Flaskgaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute.
