After having played for 4 minutes, Axel Ståhlberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IFK Bergen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Axel Ståhlberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Axel Ståhlberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute of the match Skene FK got a corner. IFK Bergen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gabriel Lundqvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. The supporters of IFK Bergen booed when Skene FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jörgen Falck didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Skene FK defense, Martin Wästerberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Iman Younghusband. The Skene FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Iman Younghusband should have stopped the shot. IFK Bergen's Ludwig Apelqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save IFK Bergen from getting a goal against them. If Emil Lundin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, IFK Bergen's goalkeeper Ludwig Apelqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Karl-Axel Bergstedt. Martin Wästerberg's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iman Younghusband read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. IFK Bergen's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sven-Arne Eriksson in the 29th minute. Iman Younghusband stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Emil Lundin's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. 34 minutes into the match, IFK Bergen's Emil Lundin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Iman Younghusband narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ludwig Apelqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leandro Hug, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Martin Wästerberg came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the IFK Bergen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Wästerberg couldn't finish the play. A collision led to IFK Bergen getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Östen Nordin hit a great ball. Gabriel Lundqvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ludwig Apelqvist. IFK Bergen's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Emil Lundin put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Iman Younghusband. The Skene FK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. IFK Bergen were winning 0-3.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Emil Lundin to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Münir Akdemir in the 58th minute of play forced IFK Bergen's goalkeeper Ludwig Apelqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl-Axel Bergstedt couldn't finish the play. Emil Lundin took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iman Younghusband. Iman Younghusband dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. IFK Bergen's Mark Håkansson was substituted for Axel Ståhlberg. Ludwig Apelqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leandro Hug in the 76th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, IFK Bergen's Mark Håkansson got a free kick in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, IFK Bergen's goal looked a bit too open when Münir Akdemir came free, but Ludwig Apelqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 88 minutes into the game, one of Skene FK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sven-Arne Eriksson placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! 94 minutes into the match, Skene FK's goal looked a bit too open when John Pihlgren came free, but Iman Younghusband reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Petter Strömqvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Iman Younghusband quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
