David Ekenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Erik Andreasson in the 8th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, SSC Napoli's goalkeeper Sakarias Bocklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jan-Ove Söderlund. Esbjörn Friberger hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. 17 minutes into the match, Ödskölt FK's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Erik Andreasson came free, but David Ekenberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tommy Gråberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Ekenberg didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clark Reuterwall went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, SSC Napoli's goalkeeper Sakarias Bocklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Otto Siöberg. After 30 played minutes SSC Napoli got a freekick which was hit by Walter Lindholm. After some careless play in the Ödskölt FK defense, Jens-Erik Andreasson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Ekenberg. The Ödskölt FK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Ekenberg should have stopped the shot. After 36 minutes, Jan-Ove Söderlund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ödskölt FK and the SSC Napoli players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Erik Andreasson in the 37th minute of play forced Ödskölt FK's goalkeeper David Ekenberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes, Esbjörn Friberger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SSC Napoli and the Ödskölt FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 48th minute Tommy Gråberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Ekenberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

In the 56th minute, Anders Hedin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ödskölt FK's players were relieved. 59 minutes into the match, Ödskölt FK's goalkeeper David Ekenberg had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tommy Gråberg. Esbjörn Friberger got his second yellow card in the match during the 70th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 71st match minute, SSC Napoli was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Esbjörn Friberger to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute of the match Viktor Stephansson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sakarias Bocklund skillfully saved the ball. The audience was convinced that Jens-Erik Andreasson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but David Ekenberg was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. In the 78th minute, Jens-Erik Andreasson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SSC Napoli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Jens-Erik Andreasson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Ekenberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. Jens-Erik Andreasson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of David Ekenberg when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anders Hedin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Ödskölt FK getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Anders Hedin hit a great ball. The Ödskölt FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SSC Napoli were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
