In the 11th match minute, Al-Norr was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dhrtatman Barmi to maneuver through the defense. If Nicki Nick had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Al-Norr's Mårten Ekström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicki Nick in the 14th minute of play. Henrik Hedenskog's late challenge caught a Al-Norr's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rodrigo Nestor stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Nicki Nick ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mårten Ekström was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After some careless play in the Al-Norr defense, Elof Ström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mårten Ekström. The Al-Norr fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mårten Ekström should have stopped the shot. 62 minutes into the match, ZigZag Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Waller came free, but Mehmet Akif Ersoy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nicki Nick in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mårten Ekström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 67 minutes into the match, ZigZag Athletic's goalkeeper Mehmet Akif Ersoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Paulino Mendez. Kjell Boberg hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in ZigZag Athletic's zone, Fredric Collin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mehmet Akif Ersoy came out of the goal and Fredric Collin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, ZigZag Athletic's Mehmet Akif Ersoy got control of the ball when Fredric Collin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicki Nick sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Al-Norr's Björn Rönn was substituted for Christian Waller. In the 90thth minute of the game Jan Vennerlund who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Al-Norr's Mårten Ekström was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jan Vennerlund blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mårten Ekström having to make a save. Mårten Ekström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. ZigZag Athletic's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
