The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Haroldo Vale had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edgar Lindblom. Änglarna FF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Haroldo Vale was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Mattias Eriksson fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Malmö FF's protests and gave Mattias Eriksson a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th match minute, Malmö FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mattias Eriksson to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, Haroldo Vale notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Änglarna FF's Edgar Lindblom. Edgar Lindblom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But to his dismay, Mattias Eriksson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. 26 minutes into the game, Haroldo Vale cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-6. Edgar Lindblom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Haroldo Vale took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Lindblom. Edgar Lindblom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. Edgar Lindblom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Haroldo Vale in the 33rd minute of the match. Roy Eklund hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Hafström in the 37th minute of play forced Änglarna FF's goalkeeper Edgar Lindblom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgar Lindblom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nils Finman, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. In the 76th minute, Malmö FF's Felix Hafström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Edgar Lindblom. Edgar Lindblom yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-11. After having played for 79 minutes, Haroldo Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malmö FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Haroldo Vale was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the match, Änglarna FF's goal looked a bit too open when Felix Hafström came free, but Edgar Lindblom reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Malmö FF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
