The supporters of FC Avrio booed when BK Vargarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Srebrenko Aničić didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jon Josefsson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Agne Vallin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Agne Vallin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Josefsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. After 42 played minutes FC Avrio got a freekick which was hit by Olof Kielberg. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Erland Örn stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. John Henriksson hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Agne Vallin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erland Örn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 played minutes FC Avrio got a freekick which was hit by John Henriksson. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jens-Erik Rolandsson got free with Algot Kullgren in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Erland Örn charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Erland Örn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 88th minute, Erland Örn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. John Henriksson's late challenge caught a BK Vargarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. John Henriksson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 91st match minute, FC Avrio was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by John Henriksson to maneuver through the defense.
