Spectators: 7655 (Terracing: 5743, Seating: 1760, VIP seats: 152) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Olov Björklund got the match started through his kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Ralf Ström kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonny Söderman. That made the score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in BK Häcken's zone, Melker Engman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dirk-Jan Koole came out of the goal and Melker Engman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BK Häcken's Dirk-Jan Koole played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melker Engman in the 13th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Feliks Byczewski recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonny Söderman. Feliks Byczewski showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. In the 22nd minute, Olov Björklund fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 23rd match minute, BK Häcken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pietro Savastano to maneuver through the defense. When Garphyttan's Melker Engman in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BK Häcken's goalie prevented a goal. 25 minutes into the match, BK Häcken's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Ferrer came free, but Dirk-Jan Koole reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Melker Engman in the 27th minute of play forced BK Häcken's goalkeeper Dirk-Jan Koole to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Melker Engman had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dirk-Jan Koole. BK Häcken's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Melker Engman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. The supporters of Garphyttan booed when BK Häcken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Boss didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 33rd minute, Ralf Ström reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonny Söderman. The goal made the score 3-1. 39 minutes into the game, BK Häcken's Feliks Byczewski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonny Söderman made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-1. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

52 minutes into the game, Ralf Ström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Jonny Söderman was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. BK Häcken's Feliks Byczewski got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andrei Agudaru kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Jonny Söderman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralf Ström, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. Dirk-Jan Koole took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melker Engman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Olov Björklund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the match, BK Häcken's Olov Björklund sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jonny Söderman narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd match minute, Garphyttan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Ferrer to maneuver through the defense. Melker Engman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Garphyttan's goalkeeper Jonny Söderman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 87 minutes, Ralf Ström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BK Häcken's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralf Ström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 92nd minute, Olov Björklund made a precise shot to the right of Jonny Söderman. Garphyttan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-1. In the 96th minute Olov Björklund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonny Söderman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. BK Häcken had played much better football throughout.
