The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Vikings FC booed when Ytterby FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stig-Ove Falkrans didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Vikings FC getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Maurício Pinhal hit a great ball. Michael Bock got a throw-in 5 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Robin Örnberg. Michael Bock kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Ytterby FF's Stig-Ove Falkrans got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Robin Vaktarhus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Pinhal in the 14th minute of play. Vikings FC's Martin Vedholm proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Vikings FC from getting a goal against them. A throw-in in the 22nd minute of the game was made by Michael Bock with Robin Örnberg as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. With a little luck, Vikings FC's Martin Vedholm got control of the ball when Alf Löfgren tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Alf Löfgren kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Martin Vedholm. That made the score 1-0 in the 31 minute of play. Stig-Ove Falkrans came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Martin Vedholm could save by the left post. Folke Sjödin charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Folke Sjödin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Folke Sjödin hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Maurício Pinhal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Robin Vaktarhus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd match minute, Ytterby FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Folke Sjödin to maneuver through the defense. Robin Vaktarhus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Teunis, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Pål Larsson hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

53 minutes into the match, Alf Löfgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Martin Vedholm. Vikings FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alf Löfgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. In the 57th minute, Vikings FC's Gustaaf Teunis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Martin Vedholm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alf Löfgren in the 64th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Erik Gustafsson during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 69 minutes into the match, Ytterby FF's goalkeeper Robin Vaktarhus had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roger Kilberg. After 69 minutes, Pål Larsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ytterby FF and the Vikings FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Vikings FC's Ulf Kjellkvist was substituted for Jonatan Ros. Nils-Emil Torsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. When Folke Sjödin was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 75 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Ytterby FF's Folke Sjödin got a free kick in the 76th minute. Robin Vaktarhus made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Roger Kilberg sent off a good shot on target. In the 83rd minute, Stig-Ove Falkrans hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Robin Vaktarhus didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Teunis went, in the 84th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Martin Vedholm came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Ytterby FF's Alf Löfgren. But to his dismay, Alf Löfgren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3. Martin Vedholm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Löfgren, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vikings FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
