Jens-Ove Söderqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Erik Browald tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jens-Ove Söderqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik Browald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Söderqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 12th minute, Groose FC's Jens-Ove Söderqvist dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Finspång FF's Erik Browald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Söderqvist in the 15th minute of play. Stellan Abelsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Hellström in the 18th minute of play. A collision led to Groose FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Jens Lundström hit a great ball. After 20 played minutes, Finspång FF's Stig Ekeroth shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Stellan Abelsson came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Finspång FF reached it. Erik Browald was out of position in the 26 minute of play, and Jens-Ove Söderqvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jens-Ove Söderqvist really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Groose FC's Harald Tomasson got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jens-Ove Söderqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stellan Abelsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frank Hellström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erik Browald showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Söderqvist in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Jens-Ove Söderqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Browald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Finspång FF's Erik Browald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jens-Ove Söderqvist in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Frank Hellström was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Finspång FF's zone, Jens-Ove Söderqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erik Browald came out of the goal and Jens-Ove Söderqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jens Lundström struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Erik Browald didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Groose FC. Erik Browald came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Groose FC's Harald Tomasson. But to his dismay, Harald Tomasson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. In the 68th minute, Jens-Ove Söderqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Groose FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Erik Browald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens-Ove Söderqvist in the 72nd minute of play. Harald Tomasson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik Browald having to interfere. Christian Hammarberg's late challenge caught a Finspång FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Söderqvist in the 84th minute of play forced Finspång FF's goalkeeper Erik Browald to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th match minute, Finspång FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Wenerdahl to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the match, Finspång FF's goal looked a bit too open when Jens-Ove Söderqvist came free, but Erik Browald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th minute Jens-Ove Söderqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Browald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Groose FC had played much better football throughout.
