Spectators: 7651 (Terracing: 5740, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 152) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alfons Jansson made the kick off which started today's match. Torsten Henning made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Robin Björkkvist in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th minute, Inge Johansson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Brenner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Kaxe in the 11th minute of play. Torsten Henning was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Inge Johansson. When Hubert Andberg in the 20th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Torsten Henning kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Torsten Henning stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Hubert Andberg's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. When Jörn Sjöö came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Republic of Jämtland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörn Sjöö couldn't finish the play. After 32 played minutes Grangärde got a freekick which was hit by Jarl Danielsson. Adrian Brenner took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gösta Kaxe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Hubert Andberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Torsten Henning was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. In the 44th minute, Hubert Andberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Torsten Henning was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0.

After 51 played minutes Republic of Jämtland got a freekick which was hit by Jimmy Gustavsson. Billy Palmquist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torsten Henning having to interfere. In the 55th minute Hubert Andberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torsten Henning saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Robin Björkkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Republic of Jämtland's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Björkkvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torsten Henning breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Republic of Jämtland fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when Republic of Jämtland's Hubert Andberg looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. With a little luck, Republic of Jämtland's Adrian Brenner got control of the ball when Gösta Kaxe tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Per-Arne Danielsson fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Grangärde's protests and gave Per-Arne Danielsson a yellow card for diving instead. Jörn Sjöö struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Torsten Henning didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Republic of Jämtland. Michel Mikaelsson hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. 74 minutes into the match, Republic of Jämtland's goal looked a bit too open when Bertil Hermansson came free, but Adrian Brenner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Republic of Jämtland getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Inge Johansson hit a great ball. Per-Arne Danielsson was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 76th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Torsten Henning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hubert Andberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Grangärde getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Gösta Kaxe hit a great ball. Adrian Brenner made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfons Jansson in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Bertil Hermansson recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Adrian Brenner. Bertil Hermansson showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Republic of Jämtland fans cheered their team off the field, for while Grangärde had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
