They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfons Jansson was the one to do the kick off. In the 82nd minute Bertil Hermansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stellan Abelsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Torsten Henning stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jens-Ove Söderqvist's shot from short distance in the 86th minute. Jens-Ove Söderqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Torsten Henning took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens-Ove Söderqvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute, Gösta Kaxe left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grangärde fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. When the match was over Groose FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Grangärde throughout the match.
