Per-Arne Danielsson kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ove Näver in the 4th minute of play forced Grangärde's goalkeeper Torsten Henning to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Torsten Henning was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Åke Back capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Åke Back really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. In the 12th minute, Jens-Ove Näver ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Torsten Henning was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Ove Näver in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Torsten Henning saved Grangärde from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Jens-Ove Näver managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ankeborgs Plättarna's supporters rose to their feet, but Jens-Ove Näver was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Torsten Henning breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Krister Svanér made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Kaxe in the 20th minute of play. If Alfons Jansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the match, Ankeborgs Plättarna's goal looked a bit too open when Alfons Jansson came free, but Krister Svanér reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Torsten Henning stood somewhat misplaced when Jens-Ove Näver came free in front of goal and shot 4-0 to the left of him in the 34 minute. Torsten Henning made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Jens-Ove Näver sent off a good shot on target. In the 46th minute Gösta Kaxe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krister Svanér saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alfons Jansson to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Jansson in the 52nd minute of play forced Ankeborgs Plättarna's goalkeeper Krister Svanér to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Åke Back in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Torsten Henning prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match clock showed 53 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Åke Back sped through Grangärde's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Torsten Henning. Jens-Ove Näver sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jens-Ove Näver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Torsten Henning tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Grangärde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ankeborgs Plättarna the free kick. In the 76th match minute, Grangärde was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Arne Danielsson to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Luiz Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. The supporters of Ankeborgs Plättarna booed when Grangärde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jarl Danielsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Grangärde players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Ankeborgs Plättarna.
