Algot Bollström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fredric Åhman, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Conny Vesterberg in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Algot Bollström saved RB Göteborg from getting behind. In the 40th minute of the match Rank 1 got a corner. RB Göteborg's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fredric Åhman ran over to the corner to take the kick. Algot Bollström came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Rank 1's Conny Vesterberg. But to his dismay, Conny Vesterberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in RB Göteborg's zone, 潘岚铮 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Algot Bollström came out of the goal and 潘岚铮 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

RB Göteborg made a substitution. Sven-Erik Bergström replaced Thomas Håkansson. The wind increased when Anthon Söderström made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, RB Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Conny Vesterberg came free, but Algot Bollström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Rank 1 eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
