Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Börje Fagerberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 77th match minute, Hortlax FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karl-Ove Ekström to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Best Man from long distance, 77 minutes into the match, got Filip Åhman's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Best Man received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Filip Åhman came out and tried to block the shot, but Best Man slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 79th minute. 82 minutes into the match, Börje Fagerberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Filip Åhman, 1-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Djurgårdens IF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
