It was a well-played corner which Staffan Söderqwist managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 15th minute Staffan Söderqwist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Algot Bollström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Algot Bollström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Conny Vesterberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Rank 1's Algot Bollström threw himself towards the right post 38 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Conny Vesterberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Rank 1 booed when RB Göteborg was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvald Lindström didn't get a good kick on the ball. 40 minutes into the game, Michael Lundqvist recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Algot Bollström. Michael Lundqvist showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Conny Vesterberg was the one to do the kick off. If Anthon Söderström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After taking down the ball on Rank 1's corner Elias Hult fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Algot Bollström quite easily take care of the ball. Elias Hult made a great header on Rank 1's corner, it was just that RB Göteborg's Algot Bollström managed to reach the ball for a save. 63 minutes into the game, Rank 1's Elias Hult nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Anthon Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Anthon Söderström kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Thomas Håkansson hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match.
