Spectators: 7673 (Terracing: 5755, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 153) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Jesper Nordal made the kick off which started today's match. 0-1 became the score in the 3rd minute when Johan Berglund elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. A collision led to Bagarmossen getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Kent Stenberg hit a great ball. The supporters of Manchester City booed when Bagarmossen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kåre Sjödin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sten Muren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from John Sundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 18th minute, Jesper Nordal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Sten Muren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sören Kruuse's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The corner led Bagarmossen's Jarl Nyström to fire away a dangerous shot which Sten Muren despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Johan Berglund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 31 in the game by Jesper Nordal from a close distance when the talented Olov Blomqvist managed to make a qualified save. Bagarmossen's players were relieved. Sten Muren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from John Sundin in the 33rd minute of the match. Robin Wenerdahl's late challenge caught a Manchester City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robin Wenerdahl helped the player get up and apologised. After 36 played minutes Bagarmossen got a freekick which was hit by Robin Wenerdahl. After having played for 37 minutes, Sten Stolpe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Manchester City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sten Stolpe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 39 minutes of play, Bagarmossen's Sören Kruuse made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sten Muren was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sten Muren came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Bagarmossen's John Sundin. But to his dismay, John Sundin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. 47 minutes into the match, Manchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Johan Berglund came free, but Sten Muren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 2-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Sören Kruuse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sten Muren made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Johan Berglund sent off a good shot on target. When Robin Wenerdahl was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 53 minutes had been played. The supporters of Manchester City booed when Bagarmossen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Wenerdahl didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute Dick Holmgren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olov Blomqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Esbjörn Isaksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester City's supporters rose to their feet, but Esbjörn Isaksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Olov Blomqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manchester City's Sebastian Tingberg was substituted for Egil Bure. After a defensive mix-up in Manchester City's zone, Sören Kruuse stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sten Muren came out of the goal and Sören Kruuse tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by John Sundin in the 73rd minute of play forced Manchester City's goalkeeper Sten Muren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Sten Muren managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Bagarmossen's Sören Kruuse fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sören Kruuses short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Sten Muren to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Manchester City's Fredrik Bratt was substituted for Jesper Nordal. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Gunnar Åström managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bagarmossen's supporters rose to their feet, but Gunnar Åström was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Muren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulrik Runeberg in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sten Muren saved Manchester City from getting behind. Ulrik Runeberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Bagarmossen eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
