The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sivert Söder hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Detlev Leisibach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Jönsson in the 4th minute of the match. Oliver Ahlström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Detlev Leisibach having to interfere. In the 10th minute, IFK Åmål's Oliver Ahlström ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Detlev Leisibach. Detlev Leisibach yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The supporters of Hammarby Hornets BK booed when IFK Åmål was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calvet Urizar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22ndth minute of the game Oliver Ahlström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hammarby Hornets BK's Detlev Leisibach was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Nils Petersson hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. 26 minutes into the game, Hammarby Hornets BK's Ola Larsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sten Markusson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When the match clock showed 30 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Sivert Söder sped through IFK Åmål's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sten Markusson. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Holger Lundqvist in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sten Markusson saved IFK Åmål from getting behind. Holger Lundqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Hammarby Hornets BK getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Mårten Ahlquist hit a great ball. 48 minutes into the match, Hammarby Hornets BK's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Ahlström came free, but Detlev Leisibach reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The IFK Åmål players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hammarby Hornets BK were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sivert Söder to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Holger Lundqvist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Sten Markusson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Detlev Leisibach showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Börje Jönsson in the 59th minute of the match. When Aleksander Markusson fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IFK Åmål's protests and gave Aleksander Markusson a yellow card for diving instead. IFK Åmål's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Ola Larsson scored to the left of an out of position Sten Markusson, making the score, 1-4. Sten Markusson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Holger Lundqvist in the 67th minute. Oliver Ahlström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Detlev Leisibach tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hammarby Hornets BK's Detlev Leisibach played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Börje Jönsson in the 73rd minute of play. Aleksander Markusson hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. In the 80th minute Sivert Söder shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Markusson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nils Petersson hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 86 minutes into the match, IFK Åmål's goalkeeper Sten Markusson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sivert Söder. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Hammarby Hornets BK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
