When the match had gone on for 15 minutes, Bengt-Åke Lindberg put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sten Muren. Sten Muren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marbäcks FF.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrik Odén to strike the kick off in the second half. 0-5 became the score in the 52nd minute when Patrik Odén elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Sten Muren was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patrik Odén showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 57 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Patrik Odén managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marbäcks FF's supporters rose to their feet, but Patrik Odén was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sten Muren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Manchester City's Sebastian Tingberg was substituted for Egil Bure. Sten Muren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bengt-Åke Lindberg in the 63rd minute. Patrik Odén did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-7 to the left of a surprised Sten Muren 66 minutes into the match. 70 minutes into the match, Marbäcks FF's goal looked a bit too open when Dick Holmgren came free, but Charles do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sten Muren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrik Odén in the 71st minute of play. Marbäcks FF were awarded a corner in the 72th minute after Manchester City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ragnar Fransson took the corner. The corner ended in Ragnar Fransson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Manchester City's Sten Muren did a great save. In the 74thth minute of the game Dick Holmgren who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marbäcks FF's Charles do Vale was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Patrik Odén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Patrik Odén scored 0-9 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sten Muren, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Charles do Vale took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fredrik Bratt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ragnar Fransson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sten Muren. Manchester City's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 95thth minute of the game Bengt-Åke Lindberg who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Manchester City's Sten Muren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Marbäcks FF played a much better game than Manchester City and deserved their victory. The Manchester City players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
