Zantos IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marbäcks FF the free kick. After a rather tough play, Zantos IF's Greger Siggesson got a free kick in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the game, Bror Ålberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Per-Oskar Stor was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Per-Oskar Stor made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Patrik Odén sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Bengt-Åke Lindberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Per-Oskar Stor. That made the score 2-0 in the 9 minute of play. Timmy Glad hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Zantos IF's Per-Oskar Stor proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Zantos IF from getting a goal against them. Zantos IF's Urbain Richard collided with an opponent after 18 minutes. He was hit so badly that he fractured his arm. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by John Strömqvist during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. John Strömqvist kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Marbäcks FF's goal looked a bit too open when Lars Alstedt came free, but Charles do Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Teodoreanu in the 22nd minute of play forced Marbäcks FF's goalkeeper Charles do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 24 in the game by Agne Lindell from a close distance when the talented Per-Oskar Stor managed to make a qualified save. Zantos IF's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Sergiu Teodoreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zantos IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Sergiu Teodoreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Charles do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agne Lindell got free with Per-Oskar Stor in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Per-Oskar Stor took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bengt-Åke Lindberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Zantos IF's Calle Hammarbäck got a free kick in the 34th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Marbäcks FF's Ragnar Fransson tried to score from far away in the 35th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 37th minute Agne Lindell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Oskar Stor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Zantos IF's goal looked a bit too open when Bengt-Åke Lindberg came free, but Per-Oskar Stor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 40th minute Lars Alstedt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charles do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 42 played minutes Zantos IF got a freekick which was hit by Calle Hammarbäck. After recieving a nice pass, Marbäcks FF's Ragnar Fransson tried to score from far away in the 43rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 43rd match minute, Zantos IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Evert Holmstedt to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Zantos IF's Calle Hammarbäck got a free kick in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bengt-Åke Lindberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Bengt-Åke Lindberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Marbäcks FF booed when Zantos IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sigvard Uter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles do Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergiu Teodoreanu in the 62nd minute. In the 65th minute, Andréas Bruhn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Patrik Odén might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Per-Oskar Stor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Patrik Odén ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bror Ålberg in the 68th minute of play forced Zantos IF's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Stor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rolf Theys kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Bror Ålberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Per-Oskar Stor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bror Ålberg in the 73rd minute of play forced Zantos IF's goalkeeper Per-Oskar Stor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marbäcks FF's Charles do Vale proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Marbäcks FF from getting a goal against them. Charles do Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sergiu Teodoreanu in the 79th minute. Per-Oskar Stor made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agne Lindell in the 82nd minute of play. Agne Lindell charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Agne Lindell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Agne Lindell kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the match, Marbäcks FF's goalkeeper Charles do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sergiu Teodoreanu. In the 88th minute Agne Lindell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Per-Oskar Stor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 90th minute, Ragnar Fransson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sergiu Teodoreanu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Charles do Vale came out and tried to block the shot, but Sergiu Teodoreanu slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 93rd minute. Marbäcks FF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Zantos IF for a fine match.
