After a defensive mix-up in Fight Club's zone, Jesper Nordal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valer Ţopescu came out of the goal and Jesper Nordal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 7 minutes into the game, Birger Ekberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Manchester City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fight Club the free kick. Sten Muren made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Jack Jonsson sent off a good shot on target. If Aleksander Hansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fight Club were furious when Ragnar Mager was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Fight Club! The referee gave Manchester City a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Sten Stolpe, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fight Club's Valer Ţopescu. 0-1. 34 minutes into the game, Jan Lundhberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fight Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manchester City the free kick. With his leg Sten Muren managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when Fight Club's Jack Jonsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 42 minutes into the match, Fight Club's goal looked a bit too open when Jesper Nordal came free, but Valer Ţopescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kent Hydén during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The Fight Club players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Manchester City were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jesper Nordal to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dick Holmgren in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valer Ţopescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sten Muren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jack Jonsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Jesper Nordal came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Valer Ţopescu could save by the left post. Esbjörn Isaksson charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Esbjörn Isaksson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Esbjörn Isaksson hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. The Fight Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Fight Club's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
