Jens-Ola Bergström was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Hamodi's players had a chance to rest. 24 minutes into the match, Skeninge ik's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Ambjörnsson came free, but Kalju Kits reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 26 minutes, Ted Nordin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Hamodi and the Skeninge ik players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ted Nordin hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Skeninge ik's Gustav Hellqvist got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 31st minute, Edgar Ambjörnsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kalju Kits was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Ingemar Klint showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustav Hellqvist in the 36th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FC Hamodi's Allan Stensson got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 38th minute, Kalle Krabber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kalju Kits showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Ambjörnsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Edgar Ambjörnsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kalju Kits. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. In the 47th minute Jens-Ola Bergström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kalju Kits saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jens-Ola Bergström to make the kick off. The corner ended in Jens-Ola Bergström almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Skeninge ik's Kalju Kits did a great save. After having played for 54 minutes, Lucio Patxi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skeninge ik's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucio Patxi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Lucio Patxi in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ingemar Klint saved FC Hamodi from getting behind. Jens-Ola Bergström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. FC Hamodi made a substitution. Folke Koch replaced Jens-Ola Bergström. Kalju Kits took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folke Koch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Skeninge ik's Kalju Kits played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Koch in the 64th minute of play. Kalju Kits made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Koch in the 66th minute of play. Jörgen Lövskog kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute of the match Eric Bergstedt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kalju Kits skillfully saved the ball. Lucio Patxi might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ingemar Klint. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lucio Patxi ran back to his position shaking his head. If Folke Koch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kalju Kits made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Folke Koch in the 77th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, Folke Koch notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Skeninge ik's Kalju Kits. Kalju Kits was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Per-Olof Telin's late challenge caught a FC Hamodi's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Per-Olof Telin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Skeninge ik's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Edgar Ambjörnsson fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Kalju Kits made a fantastic save in the 89th minute, when Edgar Ambjörnsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 92nd minute, Folke Koch got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kalju Kits showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Folke Koch in the 93rd minute of the match. Ingemar Klint made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucio Patxi in the 95th minute of play. The FC Hamodi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC Hamodi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
