Spectators: 7784 (Terracing: 5874, Seating: 1800, VIP seats: 110) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gelu Băcila took the kick off in the first half of the match. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alf Björklund, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 4th minute, Sabin Albu made a precise shot to the right of Alf Björklund. Gröna Stjärnan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. After 6 minutes, Calle Asklund mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gröna Stjärnan and the Avesta players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Avesta booed when Gröna Stjärnan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calle Asklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jens-Ola Eklund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Söderström, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Gelu Băcila might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alf Björklund. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gelu Băcila ran back to his position shaking his head. Alf Björklund was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sabin Albu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 12 minute of play. Sabin Albu took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alf Björklund. Alf Björklund dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Alf Björklund was a little too slow when Gelu Băcila got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 5-0. Alf Björklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sabin Albu in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rdth minute of the game Sabin Albu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gröna Stjärnan's Alf Björklund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 33rd minute, one of Gröna Stjärnan:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gröna Stjärnan. Sivert Andberg kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Gröna Stjärnan's Alf Björklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Albu in the 40th minute of play. Gröna Stjärnan's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Söderström made a kick off. Gelu Băcila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alf Björklund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Gelu Băcila put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Alf Björklund. After some careless play in the Gröna Stjärnan defense, Gelu Băcila kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alf Björklund. The Gröna Stjärnan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alf Björklund should have stopped the shot. Avesta's Gelu Băcila got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gelu Băcila's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alf Björklund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Gröna Stjärnan's Sivert Andberg got a free kick in the 69th minute. After 70 played minutes Gröna Stjärnan got a freekick which was hit by Calle Asklund. Sabin Albu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 72nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 73rd minute, Gelu Băcila hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Gröna Stjärnan's goal looked a bit too open when Sabin Albu came free, but Alf Björklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Avesta's supporters rose to their feet, but Gelu Băcila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alf Björklund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 90 minutes into the game, Avesta's Sabin Albu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alf Björklund made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 11-0. A collision led to Avesta getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Radomil Kolacki hit a great ball.
