In the 17th minute Henric Svanström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Arhenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aron Arhenius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Martin Wennersten in the 18th minute. The supporters of Deje booed when Varnhem IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dimitar Berbatov didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martin Wennersten in the 71st minute of play forced Varnhem IK's goalkeeper Aron Arhenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
