Spectators: 7682 (Terracing: 5762, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 153) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Fred Petersson took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnny Hansson during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Gunnah FC booed when Electric Sharks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnny Hansson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Magnus Löfdahl came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Gunnah FC's Agne Andberg. But to his dismay, Agne Andberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Gunnah FC's Ove Anselius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reine Åberg in the 8th minute of play. When Gunnar Norström fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gunnah FC's protests and gave Gunnar Norström a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Gunnar Norström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Gunnah FC booed when Electric Sharks was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bertil Melander didn't get a good kick on the ball. The supporters of Electric Sharks booed when Gunnah FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Nyman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fred Petersson scored 1-3 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ove Anselius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute Fred Petersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ove Anselius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnaldo Rolado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Magnus Löfdahl made a huge save. Electric Sharks's Magnus Löfdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agne Andberg in the 35th minute of play. Agne Andberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Magnus Löfdahl having to interfere. If Carl Mellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 45th minute, Fred Petersson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carl Mellberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Electric Sharks were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingvar Nyman made a kick off. Ove Anselius was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bertil Melander showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 52 minute of play. Aan Aae's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ove Anselius firmly grabbed it by the left post. Carl Mellberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Electric Sharks getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Bertil Melander hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the game, Electric Sharks's Aan Aae nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ove Anselius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-5. With a little luck, Gunnah FC's Ove Anselius got control of the ball when Carl Mellberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ove Anselius didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Fred Petersson went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Electric Sharks's Frank Gustafsson was substituted for Aan Aae. When Agne Andberg came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the Gunnah FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Agne Andberg couldn't finish the play. After 82 played minutes Electric Sharks got a freekick which was hit by Sven-Erik Berglund. Fred Petersson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ove Anselius came out and tried to block the shot, but Fred Petersson slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 88th minute. In the 95th minute, Electric Sharks's Fred Petersson dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-8. When the match was over Electric Sharks could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Gunnah FC throughout the match.
