Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jan Smolarek kicked off to start the match. Andy Eklund scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aron Arhenius, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Aron Arhenius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Smolarek in the 6th minute of play. In the 8th minute, Jan Smolarek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 13 minutes, Chrisostomos Koukoulekas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Varnhem IK and the Vetevendosje FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 13th match minute, Varnhem IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chrisostomos Koukoulekas to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute Rafal Cichewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Arhenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chrisostomos Koukoulekas hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucas Beltrán in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aron Arhenius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Varnhem IK defense, Lucas Beltrán kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aron Arhenius. The Varnhem IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aron Arhenius should have stopped the shot. In the 29th minute Daho Arrache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eşref Tuney saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Varnhem IK getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Kenny Sundberg hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Varnhem IK's goal looked a bit too open when Rafal Cichewski came free, but Aron Arhenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aron Arhenius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafal Cichewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aron Arhenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafal Cichewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Chrisostomos Koukoulekas hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Jan Smolarek sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vetevendosje FC's Lucas Beltrán got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half Vetevendosje FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Daho Arrache made a kick off. In the 55th minute, Lucas Beltrán reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aron Arhenius. The goal made the score 0-4. Aron Arhenius made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Rafal Cichewski sent off a good shot on target. Aron Arhenius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Smolarek in the 69th minute. 71 minutes into the match, Varnhem IK's goal looked a bit too open when Lucas Beltrán came free, but Aron Arhenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daho Arrache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Eşref Tuney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aron Arhenius was out of position in the 82 minute of play, and Rafal Cichewski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rafal Cichewski really showed his touch with that goal: 0-6. Jan Smolarek succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-7 in the 86th playminute. Aron Arhenius showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lucas Beltrán, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. With his leg Aron Arhenius managed to avoid a goal in the 93rdth minute, when Vetevendosje FC's Jan Smolarek fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side.
