After the first half Electric Sharks were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fred Petersson to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute Fred Petersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Arhenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magnus Löfdahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anders Bjurström in the 53rd minute of the match. Electric Sharks's Magnus Löfdahl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anders Bjurström in the 58th minute of play. Anders Bjurström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Varnhem IK defense, Reine Åberg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aron Arhenius. The Varnhem IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aron Arhenius should have stopped the shot. Aron Arhenius made an important save on a dangerous shot by Reine Åberg in the 70th minute. Aron Arhenius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fred Petersson in the 72nd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the game, one of Varnhem IK:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Aron Arhenius, was totally fooled by Electric Sharks's Frank Gustafsson, who 77 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Aron Arhenius was a little too slow when Fred Petersson got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 0-6. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Fred Petersson took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Aron Arhenius to make any attempt to save it. In the 86th minute, Emanuel Soned hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Varnhem IK's Aron Arhenius played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertil Melander in the 88th minute of play. In the 89th minute Carl Mellberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Arhenius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Reine Åberg dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Aron Arhenius, 0-8. After 92 played minutes Varnhem IK got a freekick which was hit by Anders Bjurström. Aron Arhenius took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carl Mellberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 96th minute, Carl Mellberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Electric Sharks fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. When the match was over Electric Sharks could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Varnhem IK throughout the match.
