After 2 played minutes Överås IK got a freekick which was hit by Claes Axelsson. In the 3rd minute of the match Edvin Hedkvist sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eero Viks skillfully saved the ball. Hitz Toxeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. Przemyslaw Szczęsny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Conrad Geipel in the 10th minute of play. When the match clock showed 12 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Asier Soriano sped through Överås IK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eero Viks. Jan Hydén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Przemyslaw Szczęsny made a huge save. In the 21st minute, Överås IK's Wictor Hansson seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Wictor Hansson the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Överås IK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Wictor Hansson had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Överås IK fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 20th minute. Penalty! Överås IK:s Eero Viks showed great skill when he stopped Edvin Hedkvist:s penalty. 23 minutes into the match, Edvin Hedkvist notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Överås IK's Eero Viks. Eero Viks was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Chivas Regal's Asier Soriano in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Överås IK's goalie prevented a goal. After 25 minutes, Asier Soriano made it 0-4 with a short kick to the right side. Överås IK's Eero Viks tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Asier Soriano sped through Överås IK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Eero Viks. In the 31st minute, Jan Hydén hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Asier Soriano in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eero Viks saved Överås IK from getting behind. When Chivas Regal's Asier Soriano in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Överås IK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 37thth minute of the game Asier Soriano who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Överås IK's Eero Viks was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Asier Soriano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eero Viks was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. Eero Viks made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Asier Soriano in the 38th minute of play. Przemyslaw Szczęsny made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Marcus Bergsten sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hitz Toxeiro in the 43rd minute of play forced Chivas Regal's goalkeeper Przemyslaw Szczęsny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Överås IK's Eero Viks played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Pinto in the 46th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcus Bergsten was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Asier Soriano in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eero Viks prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hitz Toxeiro hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Asier Soriano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Eero Viks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Asier Soriano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 71stth minute tested the skills of Eero Viks when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 72 played minutes Överås IK got a freekick which was hit by Jan Hydén. In the 80th match minute, Överås IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karsten Karlsen to maneuver through the defense. Chivas Regal's Kent Strömberg was substituted for Benedicto Pinto. Karsten Karlsen hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the match, Överås IK's goalkeeper Eero Viks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Asier Soriano. Asier Soriano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Asier Sorianos short, quick shot in the 92ndth minute got Eero Viks to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 97 minutes into the match, Överås IK's goalkeeper Eero Viks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Asier Soriano. The Chivas Regal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chivas Regal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
