Säffle's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karsten Karlsen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Säffle's zone, Marcus Bergsten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niklas Bröms came out of the goal and Marcus Bergsten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 69 minutes, Kasper Hafström mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Överås IK and the Säffle players grew even worse after the yellow card. Niklas Öberg kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. The supporters of Säffle booed when Överås IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Askberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 76 played minutes Överås IK got a freekick which was hit by Karsten Karlsen. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karsten Karlsen in the 80th minute of play forced Säffle's goalkeeper Niklas Bröms to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 81 minutes into the game, Per Hedlund cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Eero Viks was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Niklas Bröms made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Karsten Karlsen in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Överås IK's goalkeeper Eero Viks had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Per Hedlund. Per Hedlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Eero Viks tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Överås IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Säffle had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
