Spectators: 7779 (Terracing: 5835, Seating: 1789, VIP seats: 155) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ulysses Donatello kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulysses Donatello in the 3rd minute of play forced FC NILS's goalkeeper Åke Utter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 3 minutes of play, Öjeby IF's Ulysses Donatello made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Åke Utter was left in no man's land by his defense there! 6 minutes into the match, Öjeby IF's goal looked a bit too open when Kurt Ahlerot came free, but Tim Wennerquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åke Utter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulysses Donatello's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulysses Donatello in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Åke Utter saved FC NILS from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zebastian Palmkvist in the 11th minute of play forced Öjeby IF's goalkeeper Tim Wennerquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulysses Donatello blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Åke Utter having to make a save. Åke Utter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Dahlberg in the 13th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, FC NILS's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Nordstedt came free, but Åke Utter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Åke Utter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Dahlberg in the 21st minute of play. Öjeby IF's Tim Wennerquist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christer Boberg in the 26th minute of play. FC NILS were furious when Håkan Löfgren was red carded, 29 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 28th minute, one of FC NILS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for FC NILS. After a defensive mix-up in Öjeby IF's zone, Pol Putov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tim Wennerquist came out of the goal and Pol Putov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the FC NILS defense, Ulysses Donatello kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Åke Utter. The FC NILS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Åke Utter should have stopped the shot. After 45 played minutes FC NILS got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Isaksson. Åke Utter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matthias Andreasson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Nordstedt in the 53rd minute of play forced FC NILS's goalkeeper Åke Utter to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Americo Portas hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Åke Utter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Nordstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Åke Utter showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulysses Donatello in the 76th minute of the match. After 81 played minutes Öjeby IF got a freekick which was hit by Axel Holm. If Zebastian Palmkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bohumír Lisý fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Öjeby IF's protests and gave Bohumír Lisý a yellow card for diving instead. In the 90th match minute, Öjeby IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bohumír Lisý to maneuver through the defense. Zebastian Palmkvist's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tim Wennerquist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute, Ulysses Donatello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Öjeby IF's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
