After 7 minutes, Christoffer Lindström made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Bergnorden IF's Sixten Bokelund tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Sixten Bokelund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christoffer Lindström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zin el Din Zidan's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Michael Apelkvist skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Bergnorden IF getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Karl-Oskar Söder hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in FTU's zone, Xove Contreras stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Michael Apelkvist came out of the goal and Xove Contreras tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 20 minutes into the match, FTU's goalkeeper Michael Apelkvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xove Contreras. Xove Contreras charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Xove Contreras the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Xove Contreras hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute Christoffer Lindström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sixten Bokelund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Bergnorden IF's Xove Contreras nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Michael Apelkvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Jörn Giliusson hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, Xove Contreras had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Michael Apelkvist. FTU's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xove Contreras was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Sixten Bokelund showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffer Lindström, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xove Contreras stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FTU booed when Bergnorden IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braulio Gelacio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Christoffer Lindström in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sixten Bokelund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Xove Contreras managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bergnorden IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Xove Contreras was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michael Apelkvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Christoffer Lindström sped through Bergnorden IF's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sixten Bokelund. After 60 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bergnorden IF! When the match had been going on for 62 minutes, FTU's Christian Svanström got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Sixten Bokelund. After a rather tough play, FTU's Mikael Josefsson got a free kick in the 67th minute. A collision led to FTU getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Mikael Josefsson hit a great ball. Xove Contreras received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Michael Apelkvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Xove Contreras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xove Contreras in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michael Apelkvist saved FTU from getting behind. Sixten Bokelund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FTU. If Christoffer Lindström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
