Stellan Vennerdal was slow to take the kick. During this time Falavelia AFC's players had a chance to rest. Karl-Ove Lägdin was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Tom Berglund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kuzman Nedyalkov's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. With an all-out effort, Näsbyns AIK's Mats Hammarberg threw himself towards the right post 40 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Stellan Åström, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kuzman Nedyalkov stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 93 minutes, Kuzman Nedyalkov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Falavelia AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kuzman Nedyalkov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
