Ivan Aydarov kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Mats Hammarberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josef Fagrell in the 12th minute of play. Kalazio's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Thomas Kielstedt in the 14th minute. The supporters of Falavelia AFC booed when Kalazio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Öman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Josef Fagrell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thomas Kielstedt got free with Mats Hammarberg in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kalazio's Lars-Erik Klack played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kuzman Nedyalkov in the 20th minute of play. After 22 played minutes Falavelia AFC got a freekick which was hit by Klas Bäcklin. In the 23rd minute of the match Thomas Kielstedt shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mats Hammarberg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Semih Işıldar received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Mats Hammarberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Semih Işıldar slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 32nd minute. 37 minutes into the match, Falavelia AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Semih Işıldar came free, but Mats Hammarberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mats Hammarberg came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Kalazio's Hans Blanck. But to his dismay, Hans Blanck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The referee felt a red card was in order, 56 minutes into the game, when Charlie de Backer put in a rough tackle. 55 minutes into the game, one of Kalazio:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Thomas Kielstedt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kalazio's supporters rose to their feet, but Thomas Kielstedt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mats Hammarberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mats Hammarberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kalazio. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kalazio fans cheered their team off the field, for while Falavelia AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
