Tom Berglund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malcolm Påk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 7 played minutes Näsbyns AIK got a freekick which was hit by Elof Ahlbeck. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Björn Jespersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marieholm's supporters rose to their feet, but Björn Jespersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tom Berglund breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Elof Ahlbeck hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. A collision led to Näsbyns AIK getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Olof Uter hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the match, Näsbyns AIK's goal looked a bit too open when Malcolm Påk came free, but Tom Berglund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tom Berglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malcolm Påk in the 13th minute of play. With his leg Tom Berglund managed to avoid a goal in the 18thth minute, when Marieholm's Björn Jespersson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Näsbyns AIK's Tom Berglund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Malcolm Påk in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute, Stig-Åke Gallin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Björn Jespersson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tom Berglund having to make a save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Björn Jespersson to strike the kick off in the second half. Malcolm Påk scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tom Berglund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Daniel Persson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tom Berglund read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. In the 68th minute Marieholm were awarded a corner. Sture Söderberg went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Marieholm's corner Sture Söderberg fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Tom Berglund quite easily take care of the ball. 74 minutes into the game, Björn Jespersson cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Tom Berglund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
