Spectators: 7707 (Terracing: 5782, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 153) Roger Alefors started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd play minute Roy Rosendahl came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tobias Fagrell. 1-0. 6 minutes into the match, Vejbystrand's goal looked a bit too open when Greger Tinglöf came free, but Evert Ahlén reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes in the game, Roy Rosendahl fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Tobias Fagrell having to interfere. Tobias Fagrell made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Roy Rosendahl sent off a good shot on target. Edvard Jakobsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tobias Fagrell made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Roy Rosendahl sent off a good shot on target. Stig-Arne Harlén's late challenge caught a Vejbystrand's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Arne Harlén helped the player get up and apologised. Stig-Arne Harlén hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Roy Rosendahl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute, Rutger Vallmark hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Vejbystrand's Jim Fernström slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tobias Fagrell. That made the score 2-0 after 32 minutes of play. 35 minutes into the match, Busby Babes's goal looked a bit too open when Edvard Jakobsson came free, but Tobias Fagrell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Roy Rosendahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Felix Eckegren kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edvard Jakobsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Boris Bergdal hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Jim Fernström took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tobias Fagrell. Busby Babes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Tobias Fagrell made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Rosendahl in the 56th minute of play. Busby Babes's Tobias Fagrell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roy Rosendahl in the 58th minute of play. After 61 minutes of play, Vejbystrand's Roy Rosendahl made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tobias Fagrell was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Edvard Jakobsson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Busby Babes fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 70th minute. Penalty! In the 71st minute, Jim Fernström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tobias Fagrell was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Roy Rosendahl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vejbystrand's supporters rose to their feet, but Roy Rosendahl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Fagrell breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roy Rosendahl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edvard Jakobsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tobias Fagrell having to interfere. In the 85th minute Edvard Jakobsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tobias Fagrell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Fagrell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roy Rosendahl, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. When the referee ended the match the Vejbystrand players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
